Steve and James' Family Holidays at Club La Santa!
Club La Santa is a haven for all. With 80+ sports and 500+ weekly activities, there is something for all your family members. We got to speak to Steve and James from the Sports Tours International team who shared their experiences visiting the resort with their families.

Steve completed a 10k this year, with the aim to do more in the new year and the potential for a half marathon. He is currently doing a lot of running with his family which he plans to continue.
Which activities did you try that you haven’t done before?
“As a family we really enjoyed Aqua Jogging. It involves a big buoyancy aid that you put on your top half, and you basically run with it on, waving your arms and all sorts of things. It was good fun.”
What did you think of the facilities at the resort?
“All the equipment over there was well looked after throughout the activities, from the paddle boarding down at the lagoon, to the padel rackets. My family and I hired bikes and rode out to the village of La Santa, on the roads and into the mountains. There is fantastic variety over there. The CLS app was really useful for booking activities and there was no pressure from the Green Team, who were friendly and non-pushy.”

How did you find the atmosphere at Club La Santa?
“It is very easy to make friends in CLS. David from our team was there the same time as us for a day and it was nice to have a chat by the pool with him! People are always very friendly, always saying hello as you go past, so if you wanted to, you could certainly make friends quite easily.”
Did you find time to relax during your stay?
“My wife particularly enjoyed the yoga and hanging relaxation classes, and she also loved the spa. Because there is no pressure to do any of the activities, I found that we had a great balance between being active and having downtime, you do feel like you can do what you want.”
James is an avid runner and has been building up his fitness to a level where he can comfortably run marathons, next year he wants to do a HYROX event.

What was your favourite part about your trip to Club La Santa?
“We really loved CLS. My favourite part has got to be the amount of classes you can do and the variety of classes, so if there’s anything you wanted to try for the first time it’s really easy to do. For example the HYROX I had never joined before, I was nervous to try it but at CLS it was great.”
How did you find the organised running activities?
“It’s great that they have Green Teamers for running every morning and at night. There is a Tuesday half marathon every week which is great. You have the option of running with the Green Team or doing you own thing. The Green Team were absolutely amazing! They were all lovely and their language skills were amazing so there were never any communication issues.”

What are your thoughts on the training spaces available?
“You don’t feel squashed in and I absolutely love the track. Because its outdoor you feel like you have a lot of space, and all facilities are of a very good standard. They have the different swimming pools which is great if you aren’t comfortable going to the 50m sized one. All the open spaces are great. Padel was the best to enjoy together because it was constantly busy, from the first thing in the morning to 10pm at night.”
How would you sum up your trip to Club La Santa?
“It was just a fun holiday. If you want to relax you can and if you want to do an activity you can – there’s no pressure. You get such a range of ages and people doing all kinds of different things. The town is about a 20min walk with a great atmosphere. It’s a really nice walk and I’d definitely recommend going.”
