Timanfaya & El Golfo
Join us on this special excursion to discover the dramatic landscapes of Lanzarote and the unique coastline of El Golfo from the lava fields at the heart of the island to the rugged coast with its unique rock formations.
We start the day in Timanfaya National Park, commonly known as the “Fire Mountains”. We’ll drive around the fascinating lunar landscape of black, red, and brown volcanoes, craters and lava fields, continuing south to the beautiful coastline. We’ll then drive to El Golfo, a black sand beach with a green lagoon nestled in a crater by the sea. We finish in the island’s stunning wine region, “La Geria”, where grapes are grown on the emblematic picón fields. You’ll also get a chance to taste and purchase some of the region’s excellent volcanic wines.
Departure from Club La Santa is on Mondays at 09:00 and we expect to be back around 13:30.

Golf Tour to Costa Teguise
Join this advanced golf tour to the well-established Costa Teguise Golf course. This 18-hole course was designed by British landscape architect John Harris and opened in 1978. The fairways are surrounded by over 3,000 palm trees and are set at the foot of a volcano, with fabulous views across the Atlantic Ocean. The unique volcanic landscape and layout add a variety of challenges in this professional course, which is designed to be both smooth and varied.
You must have a golf handicap/licence (Max 36) to participate in this tour.
Golfers should bring a full set of clubs to enjoy this day. Alternatively, clubs may be hired for an additional cost (get more information in the Guide Department)
Departure from Club La Santa on Mondays at 08:00 and return to Club La Santa around 15:00-16:00

Sea Kayaking
We start on calm waters and go through a short, basic instruction. Then we row out into open water and explore Arrecife’s reefs, lagoons, a 16th century castle, and several beaches. It is about 8 km in total.
Single and double kayaks are available . Just let the guides know which you prefer on booking. Please note that to join us on kayaking trips, you must be able to swim.
Departure is from Club La Santa at 09:00 and return around 13:00.

Catamaran Sailing Trip
Join us on Catlanza, a luxury catamaran cruise on crystal-clear waters to the beautiful beaches of Papagayo. We start the trip at Club La Santa, from where we’ll drive to the luxurious port of Puerto Calero. Once there, the crew will welcome you on board the catamaran. There is an open bar with drinks and fresh fruit for you to enjoy, and you can just sit back and take in the stunning views. Fancy trying sailing? The captain can also give you a lesson.
We’ll drop anchor at the gorgeous Papagayo beaches, where you’ll have the chance to snorkel, kayak or stand-up paddle, or perhaps just soak up the sun on the deck. Afterwards, you’ll get to enjoy a nice lunch on the boat as you dry off and relax in the sun. We’ll head back to the harbour around an hour before the bus leaves to go back to Club La Santa.
Departure from Club La Santa on Wednesdays at 08:45 and return to Club La Santa around 15:45.

Horseback Riding
Join us for an unforgettable horseback ride in the area near Club La Santa. During the hour-and-a-half ride, you will ride along the coast, where you’ll get the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery and stunning views of spectacular volcanoes. Everyone is welcome: from beginners to experienced riders.
Children must be over 6 years to join, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Max. 130 kg.
The tour departs from Club La Santa at 13:30 and you will be back again around 15:30.

Sunrise Open Water Swimming
“Simply a stunning swimming experience” Whether you are a Recreational swimmer or pro athlete, you will appreciate this morning swim session along the beach where Ironman Lanzarote takes place every year. Supported by an experienced kayaker, you can choose to swim, at your own pace, anywhere from 500m to 3.800m. The water is crystal clear, calm and 100% safe for swimmers. Min. 17ºC in February, max. 23ºC in August. There is a coffee shop nearby for those who are out of the water early.
Minimum age 15 years. Under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. This is for experienced swimmers and is not an instruction. Wetsuits are not provided.

Volcano Walk
Come and join us on a fantastic Volcano Walk, visiting the nearby Volcano “Pico Soo”.
We will begin the walk at Club La Santa and will walk along the road for a kilometer to the neighbouring village of Caleta Caballo, before beginning our off road journey. The path leads you steadily upwards towards the small village of Soo with beautiful scenery along the way. Once we reach the top of the Volcano you will be rewarded with amazing panoramic views out towards the dramatic Famara cliffs and the surrounding landscape. We will take a short break and have some time to relax before returning via a coastal path.
The walk is about 8-10 kilometres.
You must be at least 9 years old and able to walk at a brisk pace to join the hike.
The tour departs from Club La Santa on Saturdays at 14:00 and you’ll be back around 17:00 at the hotel.
In the summer months, the tour is from 9:00-12:00.

Surf School
Learn to surf or improve your surfing on the magnificent beach of Famara, just ten minutes drive from the resort. This beach is known as one of the Canaries most beautiful beaches with warm water, golden sand and consistent waves. Using special foam boards designed for beginners, our professional instructors will introduce you to the real fun of surfing first on the beach and then in waist deep water. It’s an action packed, safe and really rewarding day which almost anyone can enjoy.
The instructors are also happy to coach those who have surfed before. Their coaching is second to none at all levels from beginner to National Squad level.A picnic lunch is included and all of our guests will leave with their own “Surf Certificate” to remind them of a fantastic day full of achievement.
Surf School Lanzarote is the only International Surfing Association registered school in the Canary Islands (the Olympic governing body). They are also a British Surfing Association Level 4 Approved school. All instructors are Professional Beach Lifeguards with the S.L.S.A and R.L.S.S.All equipment, picnic lunch, transport and certificate are included, however, we suggest that you take an extra liter of water and some high protection sun cream.
To attend the surf school, you must be able to swim min. 50m. Children must be older than 8, and those under 14 must be accompanied by a person older than 16.

Teguise Market
Come and discover the hidden treasures of Teguise, the old capital of the island, and visit the Sunday Market – the most authentic on the island and one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
As you navigate the old cobbled streets you will be able to enjoy some of the best architecture on the island, including the Parish church of San Miguel (1680) and iconic Guadalupe with its tall bell tower, The Spinola Palace, as well as two monasteries founded by the San Francisco Domingo (18th century).
The market is by far the best place to buy souvenirs and gifts to take home, radiating out from the central square and utilizing all the streets in the town. There are literally hundreds of stalls selling a huge variety of jewellery, ceramics and art, leather goods and clothing, toys, glass, and much more.
In the main square, you’ll find a huge number of food stalls, as well as a local wine merchant who offers free tastings. Around the market, you’ll come across artists drawing caricatures, musicians and a display of traditional folk music and dance.
You also have the opportunity to visit the Santa Barbara Castle, with its breath taking views, set high up on the top of the Guanapay Volcano. Take a journey into the past in the Pirate Museum inside, a must for the kids!

Volcano Walk – Wine Route
Visit the fascinating wine region of La Geria with our official guides, José Luis and Raquel. This truly unique landscape is dotted with thousands of semi-circular walls in black lava rock, surrounding hollows each containing a single vine. Learn more about how local farmers grow the grapes and visit one of the best bodegas in Lanzarote, where you can sample some of the wine and purchase some to take away.
We will walk at a moderate pace for a distance of around 12km

La Graciosa Tour
On this exclusive tour you will enjoy sightseeing through Lanzarote’s northern region to Orzola harbour. Two spectacular ferry trips on the Atlantic Ocean, and a beautiful trekking tour (total of 9.4 km) along the coast to a beach where you can relax and go for a swim. Upon return to the ferry there will be time for a coffee/drink.

Wine and Tapas Tour
Join us for a walk around three beautiful and very different vineyards. Taste 6 local wines and some authentic Lanzarote goats’ cheese along the way. You will gain an insight into the unique cultivation methods and the farmers’ constant fight against adversity, with the spectacular backdrop of Timanfaya National Park. Including in the tour you also get traditional Canarian tapas. Please let us know when booking, if you have any allergies or special diet.
